FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) OPERATION  (IF EQUIPPED)
Forimportantinformationregardingsafeoperationofthistype
ofvehicle,seePreparingtodriveyourvehicleinthischapter.
Four–wheeldrive(4WD)suppliespowertoallfourwheels.4WDshould
notbeoperatedondrypavement;drivelinedamagemayoccur.
IfequippedwiththeElectronicShift4WDSystem,and4WDLow
isselectedwhilethevehicleismovingabove3mph(5km/h),the
4WDsystemwillnotengage.Thisisnormalandshouldbeno
reasonforconcern.RefertoShiftingto/from4WDLowforproper
operation.

toallfourwheels.Intendedonlyforoff-roadapplicationssuchasdeep
sand,steepgradesorpullingheavyobjects.Theacceleratorpedalisless
sensitivethanin4X4HIGH(4WDHigh)range.Thisistoimprovevehicle
controlwhenoperatingonveryroughterrain.4X4LOW(4WDLow)will
notengagewhilethevehicleismoving;thisisnormalandshouldbeno
