Powersteeringisonlyoperablewhenthe
engineisrunning.Iftheengineisofforif
thepowersteeringsystemisinoperable,
youcanstillsteer,butitrequiresmore
physicaleffort.
Onasteepdowngrade ,downshifting
helpsmaintainsafespeedandprolongs
brakelife.
Ifthesteeringfeelsstifferthanusual
duringnormaldriving,consultan

Passing
Thesteeringmayfeelrigidifyou
continuouslyattempttosteerwhenthe
vehicleisstoppedormovingextremely
slowly.Thishasbeendesignedto
protectthesystemanddoesn'tindicatea
malfunction.Ifyoudon'tattemptto
steerforaminute,powersteeringwill
berestored.
Forextrapowerwhenpassinganother
vehicleorclimbingsteepgrades,depress
theacceleratorfully.Thetransmissionwill
shifttoalowergear,dependingonvehicle
speed.

positionandgoesoffwhentheengineis
started.
