NOTE
Whenturningtheignitionswitchto

theLOCKposition,theignition
switchhastobepushedinfromthe
ACCpositionandturned.Without
beingpushedin,theignitionswitch
stopsattheACCpositionandthe
vehiclebatterymaybedischargedif
theignitionswitchisleftintheACC
position.Whenleavingthevehicle,
makesuretheignitionswitchis
turnedtotheLOCKposition.
qKeylessEntrySystem
Thissystemremotelylocksandunlocks
thedoorsandopensthetrunklid.
Itcanalsohelpyousignalforattention.
Pressthebuttonsslowlyandcarefully.
NOTE
Thekeylessentrysystemisdesigned
l
tooperateuptoabout2.5m(8ft)
fromthecenterofthevehicle,but
thismayvaryduetolocal
conditions.
Ifthevehicleisleftwiththeignition
switchnotintheLOCKposition,a
beepsoundisheardandtheindicator
lightflashestonotifythedriver.

RefertoWarningBeep(page3-18).
Thesystemdoesnotoperatewhen
l
theignitionswitchisnotinthe
LOCKpositionorthestartknobis
pushedin.
Withthestartknobinstalledinthe
l
LOCKposition,thesystemisfully
operational.Iftheignitionswitchis
notintheLOCKpositionorthestart
knobispushedin,thesystemdoes
notoperate.
Alldoorscannotbelockedby
l
pressingthelockbuttonwhileany
doorisopen.Thehazardwarning
lightswillalsonotflash.
Ifthetransmitterdoesnotoperate
l
whenpressingabuttonorthe
operationalrangebecomestoosmall,
thebatterymaybedead.Toinstalla
newbattery,refertoMaintenance
(page3-5).
