Ifthepowerliftgateswitch/powerliftgateclose
switch/powerliftgatebuttononthetransmitter
ispressedortheoutsidehandleisoperated
whiletheliftgateisopening/closing
electrically,thebeepsoundisheardandthe
liftgatemovesinthereversedirection
automatically.Ifthisoperationisrepeatedthe
systemswitchestomanualoperation.
Sensorsareinstalledonbothendsof
thepowerliftgate.Becarefulnotto
allowthesensorstobescratchedor
damagedbysharpobjects,otherwise
theliftgatemaynolongeropen/close
automatically.Inaddition,ifthe
sensorisdamagedwhiletheliftgate
isclosingautomatically,thesystem
changestomanualoperation.
Jam-safeequipment
Whilethepowerliftgateisopening/
closingelectricallyandthesystemdetects
apersonoranobjectintheliftgate'spath,
theliftgatewillmoveinthereverse
directionautomatically.
Sensor
WARNING
Alwayschecktheareaaroundthe
powerliftgatebeforeopening/closing
it:
Notcheckingforoccupantsand
objectsaroundthepowerliftgate
beforeopening/closingitis
NOTE
dangerous.Thejam-safeequipment
isdesignedtopreventjamminginthe
eventanobstructionisinthe
liftgate'spath.Thesystemmaynot
detectcertainobjectsobstructingthe
liftgatedependingonthewaythey
arepositionedandtheirshape.
However,ifthejam-safefunction
detectsanobstructionandmovesthe
liftgateinthereversedirection,an
occupantintheliftgate'spathcould
beseriouslyinjured.
Thejam-safeequipmentdoesnotactivate
duringeasyclosureoperationwhenthepower
liftgateisbetweenthedoor-ajarpositionand
fullyclosedposition.
Whenthepowerliftgateismovinginthe
open/closedirectionandanobstructionis
detected,thebeepsoundwillbeheardand
theliftgatemovesinthereversedirection.
NOTE
Ifthesystemrepeatedlydetectsanobject
obstructingthepowerliftgateintheopen/close
directionseveraltimes,thebeepsoundwillbe
heardandthesystemchangestomanual
operation.
