Iftheliftgateisopened/closedrepeatedlyin
ashortperiodoftime,theeasyclosure
functionmaynotoperate.Waitforawhile
andthentryagain.
Thepowerliftgatedropprevention
mechanismactivatesifthesystemdetects
weightsuchasthatcausedbyasnow-
ladenliftgatewhenitisopened
electrically.Aftertheliftgateisfully
opened,thebeepsoundwillbeheardand
theliftgateclosesautomatically.

NOTE
Ifthepowerliftgateissnow-laden,remove

thesnowbeforeoperatingtheliftgate.
Tryingtoforcethepowerliftgateclosed
l
manuallyimmediatelyafterithasfully
openedautomaticallymayactivatethe
liftgatedroppreventionmechanism.
However,thisdoesnotindicatea
malfunction.
Liftgateeasyclosure
TheEasyClosuresystemautomatically
closestheliftgatecompletelyfromthe
near-shutposition.
Thissystemalsooperateswhenthe
liftgateisclosedmanually.
WARNING
Whenclosingaliftgate,alwayskeep
handsandfingersawayfromthe
liftgate:
Placinghandsorfingersarounda
liftgateisdangerousbecausethe
liftgateclosesautomaticallyfromthe
near-shutposition,whichcould
causehandsandfingerstobe
pinchedandinjured.
