Routingthetetherstrapontopofthe
headrestraintisdangerous.Ina
collisionthetetherstrapcouldslide
offtheheadrestraintandloosenthe
child-restraintsystem.Thechild-
restraintsystemcouldmovewhich
mayresultindeathorinjurytothe
child.
NOTE
ThemarkingsabovetheLATCHloweranchors
indicatethelocationsofLATCHlower
anchorsfortheattachmentofachild-restraint
system.
Alwaysattachthetetherstraptothe
correcttetheranchorposition:
Attachingthetetherstraptothe
incorrecttetheranchorpositionis
dangerous.Inacollision,thetether
strapcouldcomeoffandloosenthe
child-restraintsystem.Ifthechild-
restraintsystemmovesitcouldresult
indeathorinjurytothechild.
4. Securethechild-restraintsystemusing
BOTHLATCHloweranchors,
followingthechild-restraintsystem
manufacturer'sinstructions.Pullonthe
child-restrainttobesurebothanchors
areengaged.

Ifyourchild-restraintsystemcame
equippedwithatether,thatmeansitis
veryimportanttoproperlysecurethe
tetherforchildsafety.Pleasecarefully
followthechild-restraintsystem
manufacturer'sinstructionswhen
installingtethers.

Slidethesecond-rowseatasfarbackas
possible.
2.
Makesuretheseatbackissecurely
latchedbypushingitbackuntilitis
fullylocked.
