Whenturningtheignitionswitchtothe

LOCKposition,theignitionswitchhasto
bepushedinfromtheACCpositionand
turned.Withoutbeingpushedin,the
ignitionswitchstopsattheACCposition
andthevehiclebatterymaybedischarged
iftheignitionswitchisleftintheACC
position.Whenleavingthevehicle,make
suretheignitionswitchisturnedtothe
LOCKposition.
Ifthevehicleisleftwiththeignitionswitch
notintheLOCKposition,abeepsoundis
heardandtheindicatorlightflashesto
notifythedriver.
qKeylessEntrySystem
Thissystemusesthemoretraditional
keylessentrybuttonstoremotelylockand
unlockthedoorsandtheliftgate,and
opensthepowerwindowsandthe
moonroof.
Itcanalsohelpyousignalforattention.
Pressthebuttonsslowlyandcarefully.

Thesystemdoesnotoperatewhenthe

WiththestartknobinstalledintheLOCK

position,thesystemisfullyoperational.If
theignitionswitchisnotintheLOCK
positionorthestartknobispushedin,the
systemdoesnotoperate.
Alldoorsandtheliftgatecannotbelocked

bypressingthelockbuttonwhileanydoor
ortheliftgateisopen.Thehazardwarning
lightswillalsonotflash.
Ifthetransmitterdoesnotoperatewhen
l
pressingabuttonortheoperationalrange
becomestoosmall,thebatterymaybe
dead.Toinstallanewbattery,referto
Maintenance(page3-5).
