theretainingplateandslidethe
retainingplatethroughthecenterhole
ofthetire.
Placethespecializedtemporaryspare
tireinthesparetirecarriercorrectly:
Placingthespecializedtemporary
sparetireinthesparetirecarrier
wrongsideuporusinganytireother
thanthesmalltemporarysparetire
designedforusewiththisvehicleis
dangerous.Itwillresultinpoor
attachmentandinsufficientground
clearanceinthesparetirecarrierand
thedangerofthetirefallingoff.This
couldresultinsomeonebeingbadly
injuredorevenkilled.
Rotatethesmallleverintoplace.

Alwaystightenthesparetirecarrier
boltcompletelytightandmakesure
thesparetireislockedinthehighest
position:
Aloosesparetirecarrierboltis
dangerous.Thecablecouldbecut
causingthesparetiretofalloff.This
couldresultinsomeonebeing
seriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Usea
lugwrenchtotightenthecarrierbolt
andmakesuretotightenituntila
clicksoundisheard.

Securethesparetireasshownbelow.
CAUTION
Spare tire
Ifyouhearrattlingfromthespare
tirecarrierwhilethevehicleis
moving,thesparetirecarriercable
maybecut.
HaveitrepairedatanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible.

orderofremoval.
