WARNING
Alwayswearyourseatbeltandmakesurealloccupantsareproperlyrestrained:
Notwearingaseatbeltisextremelydangerous.Duringacollision,occupantsnot
wearingseatbeltscouldhitsomeoneorthingsinsidethevehicleorevenbethrown
outofthevehicle.Theycouldbeseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Inthesame
collision,occupantswearingseatbeltswouldbemuchsafer.
Donotweartwistedseatbelts:
Twistedseatbeltsaredangerous.Inacollision,thefullwidthofthebeltisnot
availabletoabsorbtheimpact.Thisputsmoreforceonthebonesbeneaththebelt,
whichcouldcauseseriousinjuryordeath.
Neveruseoneseatbeltonmorethanonepersonatatime:
Usingoneseatbeltformorethanonepersonatatimeisdangerous.Aseatbelt
usedinthiswaycannotspreadtheimpactforcesproperlyandthetwopassengers
couldbecrushedtogetherandseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Neveruseonebeltfor
morethanonepersonatatimeandalwaysoperatethevehiclewitheachoccupant
properlyrestrained.
Donotoperateavehiclewithadamagedseatbelt:
Usingadamagedseatbeltisdangerous.Anaccidentcoulddamagethebelt
webbingoftheseatbeltinuse.Adamagedseatbeltcannotprovideadequate
protectioninacollision.HaveanAuthorizedMazdaDealerinspectallseatbelt
systemsinuseduringanaccidentbeforetheyareusedagain.
Haveyourseatbeltschangedimmediatelyifthepretensionerorloadlimiterhas
beenexpended:
Iftheairbagsdeploythecorrespondingpretensioner(s)mayalsodeployatthesame
time.Liketheairbags,theseatbeltpretensionerswillonlyfunctiononce.Whileitis
safertouseacrash-usedseatbeltthatwasusedinanaccidentthannoseatbeltat
all,usingaseatbeltwithanexpendedpretensionerorloadlimiterloadedreduces
thesafetyavailabletoyou.Iftheseatbeltpretensionersarenotreplaced,theriskof
injuryinacollisionwillincrease.Expendedseatbeltpretensionersandairbagsmust
bereplacedafteranycollisionwhichcausedthemtodeploy.Additionally,theload
limiterwillonlylimitloadsonthechestonceinacollisionandthisisanotherreason
tohavetheseatbeltsinspected.AlwayshaveanAuthorizedMazdaDealerinspect
theseatbeltpretensionersandairbagsafteranycollision.
