locatedinthepositionshowninthefigurebelow.Theswitchmustbeusedtodeactivate
thepassengerfrontandsideairbagsandalsothepassengerseatbeltpretensionersystem
whentheoccupantofthepassengerseatfitsintooneofthefollowingcategories(as
describedintherequestformforthepassengerairbagdeactivationswitch,theappendixB
topart595ofNationalHighwayTrafficSafetyAdministration[NHTSA]):
Infants(lessthanoneyearold;foralltypesofrestraint,butparticularlytherear-facing

childrestraint.)
Childrenaged1to12

Peoplewithcertainmedicalconditionswhich,accordingtohis/herphysician,couldbe

adverselyaffectedbyair-bagactivation
Formoregovernmentreleaseinformationonairbagdeactivation,contactanAuthorized
MazdaDealerfortheoccupantcategoriesasdescribedintherequestformfortheairbag
deactivationswitchintheNHTSArules.
Theairbagdeactivationswitchturnsoffthepassengerfrontandsideairbagsandthealso
seatbeltpretensionersystem.Makesurethepassengerairbagdeactivationswitchisinthe
ONpositionexceptwhenapassengerfittingthepreviouscategoriesoccupiesthefront
passengerseat.
