Expendedordamagedairbag/seatbeltpretensionersystemcomponentsmustbe
replacedafteranycollisionwhichcausedthemtodeployordamagethem.Onlya
trainedAuthorizedMazdaDealercanfullyevaluatethesesystemstoseethatthey
willworkinanysubsequentaccident.Drivingwithanexpendedordamagedairbag
orpretensionerunitwillnotaffordyouthenecessaryprotectionintheeventofany
subsequentaccidentwhichcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
Donotremoveinteriorairbagparts:
Removinganycomponentssuchastheseats,dashboard,thesteeringwheelorparts
onthefrontandrearwindowpillarsandalongtheroofedge,containingairbag
partsorsensorsisdangerous.Thesepartscontainessentialairbagcomponents.The
airbagcouldaccidentallyactivateandcauseseriousinjuries.Alwayshavean
AuthorizedMazdaDealerremovetheseparts.
Disposeoftheairbagproperly:
Improperdisposalofanairbagoravehiclewithliveairbagsinitcanbeextremely
dangerous.Unlessallsafetyproceduresarefollowed,injurycanresult.Askan
AuthorizedMazdaDealerhowtosafelydisposeofanairbagorhowtoscrapanair
bagequippedvehicle.
NOTE
Ifitbecomesnecessarytohavethecomponentsorwiringsystemforthesupplementaryrestraint
systemmodifiedtoaccommodateapersonwithcertainmedicalconditionsinaccordancewitha
certifiedphysician,contactanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,referto“CustomerAssistance(U.S.A.)”
(page9-2).
