Thekeylessentrysystemisdesignedto

operateuptoabout2.5m(8ft)fromthe
centerofthevehicle,butthismayvarydue
tolocalconditions.
Thesystemdoesnotoperatewhenthekeyis
intheignitionswitch.
Doorscanbelockedbypressingthelock
buttonwhileadoorisopen.However,the
hazardwarninglightswillnotflashandthe
hornwillnotsound.
Ifthetransmitterdoesnotoperatewhen
pressingabuttonortheoperationrange
becomestoosmall,thebatterymaybe
dead.Toinstallanewbattery,referto
Maintenance(page3-26).
Toconfirmthatbothdoorshavebeen
locked,pressthelockbuttonagainwithin
5seconds.Iftheyareclosedandlocked,
thehornwillsound.
