Iftheairbag/seatbeltpretensionersystem
isworkingproperly,thewarninglight
illuminateswhentheignitionswitchis
turnedtotheONpositionorafterthe
engineiscranked.Thewarninglightturns
offafteraspecifiedperiodoftime.
Ifthislightilluminateswhiledriving,the
vehiclemayhaveaproblem.Itis
importanttonotethedrivingconditions
whenthelightilluminatedandconsultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Asystemmalfunctionisindicatedifthe
warninglightconstantlyflashes,
constantlyilluminatesordoesnot
illuminateatallwhentheignitionswitch
isturnedtotheONposition.Ifanyof
theseoccur,consultanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerassoonaspossible.Thesystem
maynotworkinanaccident.
Thecheckenginelightmayilluminatein
thefollowingcases:

Theengine'selectricalsystemhasa

problem.

Theemissioncontrolsystemhasa

problem.
Nevertamperwiththeairbag/
pretensionersystemsandalwayshave
anAuthorizedMazdaDealerperform
allservicingandrepairs:
Self-servicingortamperingwiththe
systemsisdangerous.Anairbag/
pretensionercouldaccidentally
activateorbecomedisabledcausing
seriousinjuryordeath.
Thefuel-fillercapismissingornot

tightenedsecurely.
Ifthecheckenginelightremainsonor
flashescontinuously,donotdriveathigh
speedsandconsultanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerassoonaspossible.
