Usetheauxiliarykeystoredinthe
advancedkeyintheeventofadead
transmitterbatteryormalfunction.
Ifonekeyisleftinthevehicleortrunk
andthesecondkeyisusedtolockthe
vehicle,thefunctionsoftheadvancedkey
leftinthevehicleorthetrunkare
temporarilysuspendedtopreventtheftof
thevehicle.
Removingtheauxiliarykey
Pullouttheauxiliarykeyfromthe
advancedkey.
Thefollowingareinoperable:
Startingtheengineusingthestart
l
knob.
Operatingtherequestswitches.
l
Torestorethesefunctions,performany
oneofthefollowing:
Pressthelockorunlockbuttononthe
l
advancedkeywhichhashadits
functionssuspended.
Whilecarryinganotheradvancedkey,
l
pushinthestartknobuntiltheKEY
indicatorlight(green)intheinstrument
clusterilluminates.
Inserttheauxiliarykeyandturnthe
ignitionswitchtotheONposition.
Locking,unlockingthedoors
Thedoorscanbelocked/unlockedusing
theauxiliarykey,refertoLocking,
UnlockingwithKey(page3-30).

Openingthetrunklid
Thetrunklidcanbeopenedusingthe
auxiliarykey,refertoOpeningand
ClosingtheTrunkLid(page3-33).
CAUTION
Donotopenthetrunkwhilethe
powerretractablehardtopis
opening/closing.Thepower
retractablehardtopandtrunklid
mechanismscouldbedamaged.
Startingtheengine
Theenginecanbestartedwiththe
auxiliarykey,refertoIgnitionSwitch
(page5-2).
