nomorethanoneinch(2.5cm)
ofmovementforproper
installation.

restraintisproperlyinstalled.
Installing child safety seats in the lap belt seating positions

Lengthenthelapbelt.Tolengthenthebelt,holdthetonguesothat
itsbottomisperpendiculartothedirectionofwebbingwhilesliding
thetongueupthewebbing.

Placethechildsafetyseatinthecenterseatingposition.
Routethetongueandwebbingthroughthechildseataccordingto
thechildseatmanufacturer’sinstructions.

Insertthebelttongueintotheproperbuckleforthecenterseating
positionuntilyouhearasnapandfeelitlatch.Makesurethetongue
issecurelyfastenedtothebucklebypullingonthetongue.

Pushdownonthechildseatwhilepullingonthelooseendofthe
lapbeltwebbingtotightenthebelt.
Beforeplacingthechildintothechildseat,forciblytiltthechildseat
fromsidetosideandinforwarddirectiontomakesurethattheseat
issecurelyheldinplace.Tocheckthis,grabtheseatatthebeltpath
andattempttomoveitsidetosideandforwardandback.There
shouldbenomorethanoneinch(2.5cm)ofmovementforproper
installation.
