Ifyoumustreplacethefuelfillercap,replaceitwithafuelfiller
capthatisdesignedforyourvehicle.Thewarrantymaybevoid
foranydamagetothefueltankorfuelsystemifthecorrect
genuineMazdaorothercertifiedfuelfillercapisnotused.
WARNING:Thefuelsystemmaybeunderpressure.Ifthefuel
fillercapisventingvapororifyouhearahissingsound,wait
untilitstopsbeforecompletelyremovingthefuelfillercap.Otherwise,
fuelmaysprayoutandinjureyouorothers.
WARNING:Ifyoudonotusetheproperfuelfillercap,
excessivevacuuminthefueltankmaydamagethefuelsystem
orcausethefuelcaptodisengageinacollision,whichmayresultin
personalinjury.
Choosing the right fuel
UseonlyUNLEADEDfuelorUNLEADEDfuelblendedwithamaximum
of10%ethanol.Donotusefuelethanol(E85),diesel,methanol,leaded
fueloranyotherfuel.Theuseofleadedfuelisprohibitedbylawand
coulddamageyourvehicle.
Yourvehiclewasnotdesignedtousefuelorfueladditiveswithmetallic
compounds,includingmanganese-basedadditives.
Note:Useofanyfuelotherthanthoserecommendedmaycause
powertraindamage,alossofvehicleperformance,andrepairsmaynot
becoveredunderwarranty.
