Yourautomatictransaxleelectronicallycontrolsthe
shiftfeelbyusinganadaptivelearningstrategy.This
featureisdesignedtooptimizeshiftsmoothness.It
isnormalforyourtransaxletoshiftfirmlyduringthe
firstfewhundredkilometers(miles)ofoperation
untiltheadaptivestrategyhasbeenlearned.The
adaptivelearningstrategyismaintainedbypower
fromthebattery.Whenthebatteryisdisconnected
oranewbatteryisinstalled,thetransaxlemust
relearnitsadaptivestrategy.Optimalshiftingwill
resumewithinafewhundredkilometers(miles)of
operation.

either
(Overdrive)
orD(Drive).Driving
withtheshiftselector
in
(Overdrive)gives
thebestfueleconomy
fornormaldrivingconditions.Formanualcontrol
startin1(First)andthenshiftmanually.
Ifyourvehicleis
equippedwitha
consolemounted
gearshift,youmust
pressthethumbbutton
onthesideofthe
gearshifttomovethe
gearshiftfromP
(Park).
