Checkthecoolantlevelinthecoolantreservoirthe
nextfewtimesyoudrivethevehicle.Ifnecessary,
addenoughofa50/50mixtureofcoolantand
distilledwatertobringtheliquidlevelintothecold
fillrangeonthereservoir.
Neverremovethecoolantreservoircap
whiletheengineisrunningorhot.
Ifyoumustremovethecoolantreservoircap,follow
thesestepstoavoidpersonalinjury:

Beforeyouremovethecap,turntheengineoff
andletitcool.
2.
aroundthecap.Slowlyturncapcounterclockwise
untilpressurebeginstorelease.
Whentheengineiscool,wrapathickcloth

released,usetheclothtoturnitcounterclockwise
andremovethecap.
Stepbackwhilethepressurereleases.

Lincoln-Mercurydealersuserecycledenginecoolant
producedbyFord-approvedprocesses.
Notallcoolantrecyclingprocessesproducecoolant
whichmeetsFordspecificationESE-M97B44–A,and
useofsuchcoolantmayharmengineandcooling
systemcomponents.
Alwaysdisposeofusedautomotivefluidsina
responsiblemanner.Followyourcommunity’s
regulationsandstandardsforrecyclinganddisposing
ofautomotivefluids.
