awirebrush.Youcanneutralizetheacidwitha
solutionofbakingsodaandwater.
Batteriesnormallyproduceexplosivegases
whichcancausepersonalinjury.Therefore,
donotallowflames,sparksorlightedsubstances
tocomenearthebattery.Whenworkingnearthe
battery,alwaysshieldyourfaceandprotectyour
eyes.Alwaysprovideproperventilation.
Whenliftingaplastic-casedbattery,
excessivepressureontheendwallscould
causeacidtoflowthroughtheventcaps,resulting
inpersonalinjuryand/ordamagetothevehicleor
battery.Liftthebatterywithabatterycarrieror
withyourhandsonoppositecorners.
Keepbatteriesoutofreachofchildren.
Batteriescontainsulfuricacid.Avoidcontact
withskin,eyesorclothing.Shieldyoureyeswhen
workingnearthebatterytoprotectagainst
possiblesplashingofacidsolution.Incaseofacid
contactwithskinoreyes,flushimmediatelywith
waterforaminimumof15minutesandget
promptmedicalattention.Ifacidisswallowed,call
aphysicianimmediately.
Becauseyourvehicle’sengineiselectronically
controlledbyacomputer,somecontrolconditions
aremaintainedbypowerfromthebattery.Whenthe
batteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,
theenginemustrelearnitsidleandfueltrim
strategyforoptimumdriveabilityandperformance.
