injuriesorinternalinjuries,particularlytooccupants
whoarenotproperlyrestrainedorareotherwiseout
ofpositionatthetimeofairbagdeployment.Thus,
itisextremelyimportantthatoccupantsbeproperly
restrainedasfarawayfromtheairbagmoduleas
possiblewhilemaintainingvehiclecontrol.
Severalairbagsystemcomponentsgethot
afterinflation.Donottouchthemafter
inflation.
Iftheairbagisdeployed,theairbagwill
notfunctionagainandmustbereplaced
immediately.Iftheairbagisnotreplaced,the
unrepairedareawillincreasetheriskofinjuryina
collision.
TheSRSconsistsof:

includetheinflatorsandairbags),

oneormoreimpactandsafingsensors,
areadinesslightandtone
andtheelectricalwiringwhichconnectsthe
components.
Thediagnosticmodulemonitorsitsowninternal
circuitsandthesupplementalairbagelectrical
systemwarning(includingtheimpactsensors),the
systemwiring,theairbagsystemreadinesslight,the
airbagbackuppowerandtheairbagignitors.
