managementfeatureatthefrontoutboardseating
positionstohelpfurtherreducetheriskofinjury
intheeventofahead-oncollision.

Thisseatbeltsystemhasaretractorassembly
thatisdesignedtopayoutwebbingina
controlledmanner.Thisfeatureisdesignedto
helpreducethebeltforceactingonthe
occupant’schest.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,theseatbelt
systematalloutboardseatingpositions
(exceptdriver,whichhasno“automaticlocking
retractor”feature)mustbecheckedbyaqualified
techniciantoverifythatthe“automaticlocking
retractor”featureforchildseatsisstillfunctioning
properly,inadditiontootherchecksforproper
seatbeltsystemfunction.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUST
BEREPLACEDiftheseatbeltassembly
“automaticlockingretractor”featureoranyother
seatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhen
checkedaccordingtotheproceduresinWorkshop
Manual.
FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractor
assemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryin
collisions.
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thevehiclesensitivemodeisthenormalretractor
mode,allowingfreeshoulderbeltlengthadjustment
toyourmovementsandlockinginresponseto
vehiclemovement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakes
suddenlyorturnsacornersharply,orthevehicle
