toensurethecircuitisfunctional.If
thelightdoesnotilluminate
ABS
momentarilyatstartup,remainson
orcontinuestoflash,theABSneedstobeserviced.WiththeABSlight
on,theanti-lockbrakesystemisdisabledandnormalbrakingisstill
effectiveunlessthebrakewarninglightalsoremainsilluminatedwiththe
parkingbrakereleased.
Check transaxle
Momentarilyilluminateswhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition.
Illuminationofthislightindicates
thataproblemhasbeendetected
andshiftingmayberestricted.Ifthis
lampremainson,haveyourvehicle
servicedimmediately.
Speed control (if equipped)
Thislightcomesonwheneitherthe
CRUISE
SET/ACCELorRESUMEcontrols
arepressed.Itturnsoffwhenthe
speedcontrolOFFcontrolispressed,thebrakeisappliedortheignition
isturnedtotheOFFposition.
Brake system warning
Momentarilyilluminateswhenthe

ignitionisturnedtotheRUN
positiontoensurethecircuitis
functional.Alsoilluminatesifthe
parkingbrakeisengaged.Ifthe
brakewarninglampdoesnotilluminateatthesetimes,orremainson
afterreleasingtheparkingbrake,seekserviceimmediately.
Oneofthefollowingconditionsmayexist:

Brakeforcedistributionsystemfailure.TheABSlightwillalso
illuminateifthisconditionispresent.
