(Floor)-Allowsformaximumheatingbydistributingoutsideair
throughthefloorducts.However,theaircannotbecooledbelowthe
outsidetemperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperatein
thismode.
• panelregistersandthefloorducts.Heatingandairconditioning
capabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Theairwillbeheatedorcooled
basedonthetemperatureselection.Foraddedcustomercomfort,the
airdistributedthroughthefloorductswillbeslightlywarmerthanthe
airsenttotheinstrumentpanelregisters.
(Panelandfloor)-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrument

(Panel)-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanel
registers.However,theaircannotbecooledbelowtheoutside
temperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthis
mode.

MAXA/C-Usesrecirculatedairtocoolthevehicle.Thetemperature
willremainunchangedandairwillbecooledbasedontheselected
temperature.Toexit,pressAUTOMATICoranyotheroverride
controls.MAXA/CisnoisierthannormalA/Cbutmoreeconomical
andwillcooltheinsideofthevehiclefaster.Airflowisfromthe
instrumentpanelregisters.Thismodecanalsobeusedtoprevent
undesirableodorsfromenteringthevehicle.

OFF-Outsideairisshutoutandthefanwillnotoperate.Forshort
periodsoftimeonly,usethismodetoreduceundesirableodorsfrom
enteringthevehicle.
Displaying outside temperature
PressOUTSIDETEMPtodisplay
theoutsideairtemperature.Itwill
bedisplayeduntilOUTSIDETEMP
ispressedagainoruntilanyother
controlispressed.WhentheEATC
systemisoffandOUTSIDETEMPis
pressed,theoutsidetemperature
willonlybedisplayedforfour
seconds.

Theoutsidetemperaturereadingismostaccuratewhenthevehicleis
moving.Higherreadingsmaybeobtainedwhenthevehicleisnot
moving.Thereadingsthatyougetmaynotagreewithtemperatures
givenontheradioduetodifferencesinvehicleandstationlocations.
