Replacethetireswhenthewear
bandisvisiblethroughthetire
treads.
Whenreplacingfullsizetires,nevermixradialbias-belted,or
bias-typetires.Useonlythetiresizesthatarelistedonthe
CertificationorTireLabel.Makesurethatalltiresarethesamesize,
speedrating,andload-carryingcapacity.Useonlythetirecombinations
recommendedonthelabel.Ifyoudonotfollowtheseprecautions,
yourvehiclemaynotdriveproperlyandsafely.
Makesurethatallreplacementtiresareofthesamesize,type,
load-carryingcapacityandtreaddesign(e.g.,“AllTerrain”,etc.),
asoriginallyofferedbyFord.
Failuretofollowtheseprecautionsmayadverselyaffectthe
handlingofthevehicleandmakeiteasierforthedrivertolose
controlandrollover.
Tiresthatarelargerorsmallerthanyourvehicle’soriginaltiresmayalso
affecttheaccuracyofyourspeedometer.
SNOW TIRES AND CHAINS
Snowtiresmustbethesamesizeandgradeasthetiresyou
currentlyhaveonyourvehicle.
Thetiresonyourvehiclehaveallweathertreadstoprovidetractionin
rainandsnow.However,insomeclimates,youmayneedtousesnowtires
andchains.Ifyouneedtousesnowtiresandchains,itisrecommended
thatsteelwheelsareusedofthesamesizeandspecificationsasthose
originallyinstalled.
