seat,forciblytilttheseatforward
andbacktomakesuretheseatis
securelyheldinplace.Tocheck
this,grabtheseatatthebeltpath
andattempttomoveitsidetoside
andforwardandback.Thereshould
benomorethanoneinchof
movementforproperinstallation.

Trytopullthebeltoutoftheretractortomakesuretheretractoris
intheautomaticlockingmode(youshouldnotbeabletopullmorebelt
out).Iftheretractorisnotlocked,unbucklethebeltandrepeatsteps
twothroughnine.
Checktomakesurethechildseatisproperlysecuredbeforeeachuse.
Attaching child safety seats  with tether straps
Mostnewforward-facingchildsafetyseatsincludeatetherstrapwhich
goesoverthebackoftheseatandhookstoananchoringpoint.Tether
strapsareavailableasanaccessoryformanyoldersafetyseats.Contact
themanufacturerofyourchildseatforinformationaboutorderinga
tetherstrap.
Therearseatingpositionsofyourvehicleareequippedwithbuilt-in
tetherstrapanchorslocatedbehindtheseatsontheroofpanelinthe
cargoarea.
Thetetherstrapanchorsinyourvehicleareinthefollowingpositions:

totheappropriatetether
anchorasshown.Thetetherstrap
maynotworkproperlyifattached
somewhereotherthanthecorrect
tetheranchor.
