MANUAL TRANSAXLE OPERATION (IF  EQUIPPED)
Using the clutch
Vehiclesequippedwithamanualtransaxlehaveastarterinterrupt
interlockthatpreventscrankingoftheengineunlesstheclutchpedalis
depressed.
Whenstartingavehiclewithamanualtransaxle,youmust:
1.
Putthegearshiftleverinthe
neutralposition.

Holddownthebrakepedal.
Depresstheclutchpedal.
4.
Withoutdepressingthe
acceleratorpedal,turntheignition
toposition4(START),releasethe
ignitionassoonastheenginestarts.
5.
Lettheengineidleforafew
seconds.
6.
Releasethebrakepedal,then
slowlyreleasetheclutchpedalwhile
pressingdownslowlyonthe
acceleratorpedal.
Donotdrivewithyourfootrestingontheclutchpedalanddo
notusetheclutchpedaltoholdyourvehicleatastandstillwhile
waitingonahill.Theseactionswillseriouslyreduceclutchlife.
