fluidifthelevelisinthisrange.

Ifthefluidislow,addfluidinsmallamounts,continuouslychecking
theleveluntilitreachestherangebetweentheMINandMAXlines.Be
suretoputthecapbackonthereservoir.
BRAKE/CLUTCH FLUID RESERVOIR
Brakeandclutchsystemsaresuppliedfromthesamereservoir.
Thefluidlevelwilldropslowlyas
thebrakeswear,andwillrisewhen
thebrakecomponentsarereplaced.
Fluidlevelsbetweenthe“MIN”and
“
MAX”linesarewithinthenormal
operatingrange,thereisnoneedto
addfluid.Ifthefluidlevelsare
outsideofthenormaloperating
range,theperformanceofyour
brakesystemcouldbe
compromised,seekservicefromyourdealerimmediately.
TRANSMISSION FLUID
Checking automatic transmission fluid (if equipped)
Refertoyourscheduledmaintenanceguideforscheduledintervalsfor
fluidchecksandchanges.Yourtransaxledoesnotconsumefluid.
However,thefluidlevelshouldbecheckedifthetransaxleisnotworking
properly,i.e.,ifthetransaxleslipsorshiftsslowlyorifyounoticesome
signoffluidleakage.
Automatictransmissionfluidexpandswhenwarmed.Toobtainan
accuratefluidcheck,drivethevehicleuntilitiswarmedup
(approximately30km[20miles]).Ifyourvehiclehasbeen
operatedforanextendedperiodathighspeeds,incitytraffic
