Howtodisengagetheautomaticlockingmode
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,thesafetybeltsystemsatalloutboard
seatingpositions(exceptthedriverposition,whichdoesn’ thave
thisfeature)mustbecheckedbyaqualifiedtechniciantoverifythat
theautomaticlockingretractorfeatureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly.Inaddition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedfor
properfunction.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassembly“automaticlockingretractor”featureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.Failuretoreplace
theBeltandRetractorassemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryin
collisions.
Front safety belt height adjustment
Adjusttheheightoftheshoulder
beltsothebeltrestsacrossthe
middleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
pushthebuttonandslidetheheight
adjusterupordown.Releasethe
buttonandpulldownontheheight
adjustertomakesureitislockedin
place.
Positionthesafetybeltheightadjusterssothatthebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjustthesafety
beltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessoftheseatbeltand
increasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
