vehicle.Beforedriving,always
lookatthefaceoftheswitchto
besuretheswitchisintheproper
positioninaccordancewiththese
instructionsandwarnings.Failure
toputtheswitchinaproper
positioncanincreasetheriskof
seriousinjuryordeathina
collision.

Turningthepassengerairbagoff
1.
Inserttheignitionkey,turnthe
switchtoOFFpositionandholdin
OFFpositionwhileremovingthe
key.
PASSENGER AIR BAG
OFF
ON

Whentheignitionisturnedtothe
OFF
ONpositiontheOFFlight
illuminatesbriefly,momentarily
shutsoffandthenturnsbackon.
Thisindicatesthatthepassengerair
bagisdeactivated.
Ifthelightfailstoilluminatewhenthepassengerairbagswitch
isintheOFFpositionandtheignitionswitchisinON,havethe
passengerairbagswitchservicedatyourFordorLincoln-Mercury
dealerimmediately.
Inordertoavoidinadvertentactivationoftheswitch,always
removetheignitionkeyfromthepassengerairbagON/OFF
switch.
Aninfantinarear-facingseatfacesahighriskofseriousorfatal
injuriesfromadeployingpassengerairbag.Rearfacinginfant
seatsshouldNEVERbeplacedinthefrontseats,unlessthepassenger
airbagisturnedoff.
