Trailer lamps
Trailerlampsarerequiredonmosttowedvehicles.Makesureallrunning
lights,brakelights,turnsignalsandhazardlightsareworking.Seeyour
dealerortrailerrentalagencyforproperinstructionsandequipmentfor
hookinguptrailerlamps.
Using a step bumper (if equipped)
Therearbumperisequippedwithanintegralhitchandonlyrequiresa
ballwithaoneinch(25.4mm)shankdiameter.Thebumperhasa5,000
lbs.(2,270kg)trailerweightand500lbs.(227kg)tongueweight
capacity.
Ifitisnecessarytorelocatethetrailerhitchballposition,a
frame-mountedtrailerhitchmustbeinstalled.
Driving while you tow
Whentowingatrailer:

Turnoffthespeedcontrol.Thespeedcontrolmayshutoff
automaticallywhenyouaretowingonlong,steepgrades.

Ifyourvehicleisequippedwitha4–speedautomatic
transmission:Toeliminateexcessivetransmissionshifting,usea
