ThetemperaturegradesareA(thehighest),B,andC,representingthe
tire’sresistancetothegenerationofheatanditsabilitytodissipateheat
whentestedundercontrolledconditionsonaspecifiedindoorlaboratory
testwheel.Sustainedhightemperaturecancausethematerialofthetire
todegenerateandreducetirelife,andexcessivetemperaturecanleadto
suddentirefailure.ThegradeCcorrespondstoalevelofperformance
whichallpassengercartiresmustmeetundertheFederalMotorVehicle
SafetyStandardNo.109.GradesBandArepresenthigherlevelsof
performanceonthelaboratorytestwheelthantheminimumrequiredby
law.
WARNING: Thetemperaturegradeforthistireisestablished
foratirethatisproperlyinflatedandnotoverloaded.
Excessivespeed,underinflation,orexcessiveloading,either
separatelyorincombination,cancauseheatbuildupand
possibletirefailure.
TIRES
Tiresaredesignedtogivemanythousandsofmilesofservice,butthey
mustbemaintainedinordertogetthemaximumbenefitfromthem.

Tirelabel:AlabelshowingtheOE(OriginalEquipment)tiresizes,
recommendedinflationpressureandthemaximumweightthevehicle
cancarry.
TireIdentificationNumber(TIN):Anumberonthesidewallof
eachtireprovidinginformationaboutthetirebrandand
manufacturingplant,tiresizeanddateofmanufacturer.
Inflationpressure:Ameasureoftheamountofairinatire.
Standardload:AclassofP-metricorMetrictiresdesignedtocarrya
maximumloadat35psi[37psi(2.5bar)forMetrictires].Increasing
theinflationpressurebeyondthispressurewillnotincreasethetires
loadcarryingcapability.
Extraload:AclassofP-metricorMetrictiresdesignedtocarrya
heaviermaximumloadat41psi[43psi(2.9bar)forMetrictires].
Increasingtheinflationpressurebeyondthispressurewillnotincrease
thetiresloadcarryingcapability.
