Tire and wheel alignment
Abadjoltfromhittingacurborpotholecancausethefrontendofyour
vehicletobecomemisalignedordamagetoyourtires.Ifyourvehicle
seemstopulltooneside,vibrateorshakewhenyou’redriving,the
wheelsmaybeoutofalignment.HaveaqualifiedtechnicianataMazda
dealercheckthewheelalignmentperiodically.
Wheelmisalignmentinthefrontortherearcancauseunevenandrapid
treadwearofyourtiresandshouldbecorrectedbyaqualifiedtechnician
ataMazdadealer.Frontwheeldrive(FWD)vehicles,andthosewith
independentfrontsuspensionrequirealignmentofallfourwheels.
Thetireshouldalsobebalancedperiodically.Anunbalancedtireand
wheelassemblymayresultinirregulartirewear.
NOTE:Whenitistimetoreplacefronttireswithnewones,thisisan
idealtimetoperformanalignment.Newtiresshouldbebalancedatthe
timetheyareinstalled.
Tire rotation
Rotatingyourtiresattherecommendedinterval(asindicatedinthe
ScheduledmaintenancesectionoftheMaintenanceand
Specificationschapter)willhelpyourtireswearmoreevenlyproviding
bettertireperformanceandlongertirelife.Unlessotherwisespecified,
rotatethetiresapproximatelyevery8,000km(5,000miles).
