NOTE:Thedomelampcontrol(ifequipped)mustnotbesettothe
OFFpositionfortheilluminatedentrysystemtooperate.
Theinsidelightswillnotturnoffif:
•
theyhavebeenturnedonwiththedimmercontrol,or
anydoorisopen.
•
NOTE:Thebatterysaverwillshutofftheinteriorlamps30minutes
aftertheignitionhasbeenturnedtotheOFFposition.
SECURILOCKி PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
SecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemisanengineimmobilization
system.Thissystemisdesignedtopreventtheenginefrombeingstarted
unlessacodedkeyprogrammedtoyourvehicleisused.
TheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemisnotcompatiblewith
non-Mazdaaftermarketremotestartsystems.Useofthesesystemsmay
resultinvehiclestartingproblemsandalossofsecurityprotection.
Yourvehiclecomeswithtwocodedkeys;additionalcodedkeysmaybe
purchasedfromyourdealer.Thedealercanprogramyoursparekeysto
yourvehicleoryoucanprogramthekeysyourself.Referto
Programmingsparekeysforinstructionsonhowtoprogramthecoded
key.
Note:Amaximumofeightkeyscanbecodedtoyourvehicle.
Note:Largemetallicobjects,electronicdevicesthatareusedto
purchasegasolineorsimilaritems,orasecondcodedkeyonthesame
keychainmaycausevehiclestartingissues.Youneedtopreventthese
objectsfromtouchingthecodedkeywhilestartingtheengine.These
objectswillnotcausedamagetothecodedkey,butmaycausea
momentaryissueiftheyaretooclosetothekeywhenstartingthe
engine.Ifaproblemoccurs,turntheignitionoff,removeallobjectson
thekeychainawayfromthecodedkeyandrestarttheengine.
Theft indicator
Thetheftindicatorislocatedintheinstrumentcluster.
•
WhentheignitionisintheOFFposition,theindicatorwillflashonce
every2secondstoindicatetheSecuriLock௢systemisfunctioningas
atheftdeterrent.
•
WhentheignitionisintheONposition,theindicatorwillglowfor3
seconds,thenturnoff,toindicatenormalsystemfunctionality.
IfaproblemoccurswiththeSecuriLock௢system,theindicatorwillflash
rapidlyorglowsteadilywhentheignitionisintheONposition.Ifthis
occurs,thevehicleshouldbetakentoanauthorizedMazdadealerfor
service.
