Notes about checking engine oil level
Checking engine oil level with the
control system (CL 600 and
CL 65 AMG)
One of the following messages will
subsequently appear in the multifunction
display:
When checking the oil level
ț
the vehicle must be parked on level
ground
To check the engine oil level via the multi-
function display, do the following:
ț
“Engine Oil Level
OK”
ț
with the engine at operating tempera-
ture, the vehicle must have been
stationary for at least 5 minutes with
the engine turned off

“Add 1.0 qts. Engine Oil
At Next Refueling”

Switch on the ignition (୴ page 365).
(Canada: “1.0 l”)

with the engine not at operating tem-
perature yet, the vehicle must have
been stationary for at least 30 minutes
with the engine turned off
̈ Press ( or & to select the menu
“Service”.

“Add 1.5 qts. Engine Oil
At Next Refueling”
Press $ or % to select “Engine
Oil Level”.
(Canada: “1.5 l”)

“Add 2.0 qts. Engine Oil
At Next Refueling”

Press #.
The following message is seen in the multi-
function display:
