Fuse box in the rear passenger
compartment

Emergency engine shut-down

Swing down center armrest.
If the engine cannot be turned off as de-
scribed in the “Turning off the engine” sec-
tion (୴ page 415), you may use the
following emergency procedure.
Open cover behind center armrest.
Pull cover 1 forward in direction of ar-
row.

Take the fuse chart from the vehicle
from the vehicle tool kit (୴ page 681).
Closing
̈
Press cover 1 backward and engage.   ̈   Find row “Emergency engine
shut-down” in the fuse chart table to
identify the fuses that have to removed
as well as their locations.
!
Make sure that the seal in the cover is not
damaged during opening or closing.

Remove the respective fuses.
