Afteralloccupantshaveadjustedtheirseatsandputonsafetybelts,it’s
veryimportantthattheycontinuetositproperly.Aproperlyseated
occupantsitsupright,leaningagainsttheseatback,andcenteredonthe
seatcushion,withtheirfeetcomfortablyextendedonthefloor.Sitting
improperlycanincreasethechanceofinjuryinacrashevent.For
example,ifanoccupantslouches,liesdown,turnssideways,sitsforward,
leansforwardorsideways,orputsoneorbothfeetup,thechanceof
injuryduringacrashisgreatlyincreased.
WARNING:Sittingimproperlyoutofpositionorwiththeseat
backreclinedtoofarcantakeoffweightfromtheseatcushion
andaffectthedecisionofthefrontpassengersensingsystem,resulting
inseriousinjuryordeathinacrash.
Alwayssituprightagainstyourseatback,withyourfeetonthefloor.
Thefrontpassengersensingsystemmaydetectsmallormediumobjects
placedontheseatcushion.Formostobjectsthatareinthefront
passengerseat,thepassengerairbagwillbedisabled.Eventhoughthe
passengerairbagisdisabled,theЉpassairbagoffЉlampmayormaynot
beilluminatedaccordingtothetablebelow.
