Getting started
Pairing(bonding)yourphone
Thefirstthingyoumustdotousethesystemistopair(bond)your
Bluetoothenabledcellularphonewithyourvehicle’sBluetoothsystem.
Thisprocessallowsyourphonetocommunicatewiththehands-free
systemandensuresthatotherphonescannotinadvertentlydoso.You
maypair/bonduptosixphoneswithyourBluetoothsystem.
Topair/connectyourphone:

EnsurethatyourBluetoothenabledcellularphoneandaudiosystem
areonandyourvehicleisinPark(P).

PressMENUrepeatedlyuntilADVMENUappearsinthedisplay.
PressandholdMENUtoenterintotheAdvancedmenuselections.
PressMENUrepeatedlyuntilBTON/OFFappearsinthedisplay.Ifthe
featureissettoOFF,press>soBTONappearsinthedisplay.

Ensurethatyourphoneisnotinprivacymode.Then,followthe
instructionsinyourcellularphone’suserguidetoputyourphoneinto
Bluetoothdiscoverymode.

SelectFORDAUDIOwhenitappearsinyourphone’sdisplay.

Enterthecodenumbershownonthevehicledisplayusingthephone
keypad.Ifnocodenumberisshownonthedisplay,entertheBluetooth
PINnumber0000oranynumberusingthephonekeypad.Nowenterthe
BluetoothPINnumbershownonthevehicledisplay.
Thephoneyouhavejustpaired/bondedisnowconsideredthe’active’
phone.Whenthevehicleignitionisturnedon,theBluetoothsystemwill
automaticallybeginsosearchforpairedphones,andwillattemptto
re-connecttothephonelastpaired/bondedwiththesystem.Ifthis
phoneisnotavailable,thesystemwillthenautomaticallysearchforthe
nextmostrecentlyconnectedphone.
Topair/bondsubsequentphonestothesystem,simplyfollowthe
previousprocedure.
