Seating and Safety Restraints
WARNING:Thedriverandfrontpassengersafetybeltsystem
(includingretractors,bucklesandheightadjusters)mustbe
replacedifthevehicleisinvolvedinacollisionthatresultsin
deploymentoffrontairbags,sideairbags,andsafetybeltpretensioners.
Front safety belt height  adjustment
Thefrontseatandoutboard
positionsareequippedwithaheight
adjuster.Adjusttheheightofthe
shoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
pushthebuttonandslidetheheight
adjusterdown.Releasethebutton
andpulldownontheheight
adjustertomakesureitislockedin
place.
Toadjustthebeltupward,slidetheadjusterup.Thereisnoneedto
pushthebutton.Pulldownontheheightadjustertomakesureitis
lockedinplace.
WARNING:Positionthesafetybeltheightadjusterssothatthe
beltrestsacrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjust
thesafetybeltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessofthesafety
beltandincreasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
Safety belt warning light  and indicator chime
Thesafetybeltwarninglightilluminatesintheinstrumentclusteranda
chimesoundstoremindtheoccupantstofastentheirsafetybelts.
