Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
intervalslistedinscheduledmaintenanceinformation.Thecoolant
concentrationshouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantanddistilledwater,
whichequatestoafreezepointof-34°F(-36°C).Coolantconcentration
testingispossiblewithahydrometerorantifreezetester.Thelevelof
coolantshouldbemaintainedattheMAXlevelinthecoolantreservoir.If
thelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantpertheinstructionsintheAdding
enginecoolantsection.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
