automaticlockingmode,graspthe
shoulderportionofthebeltandpull
downwarduntilallofthebeltis
pulledout.

Allowthebelttoretracttoremoveslack.Thebeltwillclickasit
retractstoindicateitisintheautomaticlockingmode.
Trytopullthebeltoutoftheretractortomakesuretheretractoris

out).Iftheretractorisnotlocked,repeatSteps5and6.

Removeremainingslackfromthe
belt.Forcetheseatdownwithextra
weight,e.g.,bypressingdownor
kneelingonthechildrestraintwhile
pullingupontheshoulderbeltin
ordertoforceslackfromthebelt.
Thisisnecessarytoremovethe
remainingslackthatwillexistonce
theadditionalweightofthechildis
addedtothechildrestraint.Italso
helpstoachievetheproper
snugnessofthechildseattothe
