DONOTfillafuelcontainerwhileitisinthevehicle(includingthe
cargoarea).

Keepthefuelpumpnozzleincontactwiththefuelcontainerwhile
filling.
DONOTuseadevicethatwouldholdthefuelpumphandleinthefill
position.
Fuel filler cap
Yourfueltankfillercaphasanindexeddesignwitha1/4turnon/off
feature.
Whenfuelingyourvehicle:
1.

Turntheengineoff.
Unlockthefuelfillerdoor.
3.
Carefullyturnthefillercap
counterclockwiseuntilitspinsoff.
4.
Pulltoremovethecapfromthe
fuelfillerpipe.
5.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabs
onthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.
6.
Turnthefillercapclockwise1/4
ofaturnuntilitclicksatleastonce.
7.
Lockthefuelfillerdoor.
Ifyoumustreplacethefuelfillercap,replaceitwithafuelfiller
capthatisdesignedforyourvehicle.Thecustomerwarrantymay
bevoidforanydamagetothefueltankorfuelsystemifthe
correctgenuineFord,Motorcraft௡orothercertifiedfuelfiller
capisnotused.
WARNING:Thefuelsystemmaybeunderpressure.Ifthefuel
fillercapisventingvapororifyouhearahissingsound,wait
untilitstopsbeforecompletelyremovingthefuelfillercap.Otherwise,
fuelmaysprayoutandinjureyouorothers.
