Deactivating/activatingtheBelt-Minderாfeature
ReadSteps1-3thoroughlybeforeproceedingwiththe
deactivation/activationprogrammingprocedure.
TheBelt-Minder௡featurecanbedeactivated/activatedbyperformingthe
followingprocedure:
Beforefollowingtheprocedure,makesurethat:

ThegearshiftisinP(Park).
Theignitionisoff.
Thedriverandfrontpassengersafetybeltsareunbuckled.
WARNING:Whilethedesignallowsyoutodeactivateyour
Belt-Minder௡,thissystemisdesignedtoimproveyourchancesof
beingsafelybeltedandsurvivinganaccident.Werecommendyou
leavetheBelt-Minder௡systemactivatedforyourselfandotherswho
mayusethevehicle.Toreducetheriskofinjury,donot
deactivate/activatetheBelt-Minder௡featurewhiledrivingthevehicle.

Turntheignitionswitchtotheonposition.DONOTSTARTTHE
ENGINE.
2.
Waituntilthesafetybeltwarninglightturnsoff(approximately
1–2
minutes).

Step3mustbecompletedwithin50secondsafterthesafetybelt
warninglightturnsoff.

Bucklethenunbucklethedriver’ssafetybeltninetimesatamoderate
speed,endingintheunbuckledstate.

ThiswilldisabletheBelt-Minder௡featureifitiscurrentlyenabledor
enabletheBelt-Minder௡featureifitiscurrentlydisabled.As
confirmation,thesafetybeltwarninglightwillflashthreetimes.
