FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
Thisdevicestopstheelectricfuelpumpfromsendingfueltotheengine
whenyourvehiclehashadasubstantialjolt.
Afteranaccident,iftheenginecranksbutdoesnotstart,thisswitch
mayhavebeenactivated.
Thefuelpumpshut-offswitchis
accessiblefrombehindtheglove
box.Thebuttonwillberaisedwhen
theswitchisactivated.
Toresettheswitch:
1.

Turntheignitionoff.
Checkthefuelsystemforleaks.
Ifnoleaksareapparent,openthe
gloveboxthenpushinthesides
andswingthegloveboxdown.

Resettheswitchbypushingin
theresetbutton.
5.
6.
Turntheignitionon.
Waitafewsecondsandreturn
thekeytooff.
7.
Makeanothercheckforleaks.
FUSES AND RELAYS
Fuses
Ifelectricalcomponentsinthe
vehiclearenotworking,afusemay
haveblown.Blownfusesare
identifiedbyabrokenwirewithin
thefuse.Checktheappropriate
fusesbeforereplacinganyelectrical
components.

Note:Alwaysreplaceafusewithonethathasthespecifiedamperage
rating.Usingafusewithahigheramperageratingcancauseseverewire
damageandcouldstartafire.
