Donotallowpaintsealanttocomeincontactwithanynon-body
(low-glossblack)coloredtrim,suchasgraineddoorhandles,roof
racks,bumpers,sidemoldings,mirrorhousingsorthewindshieldcowl
area.Thepaintsealantwill“gray”orstainthepartsovertime.
Donotallowpaintsealanttocomeincontactwiththeslidingdoor
electricalcontactswitches.Paintsealantorothercontaminantscould
interferewiththeproperoperationofthepowerlocksorradio
speakers.Ifnecessary,cleanthecontactswithMotorcraft௡Bugand
TarRemover(ZC-42)toremoveanysealant.Donotuseanyabrasives
onthecontactsurfaces.
PAINT CHIPS
Yourauthorizeddealerhastouch-uppainttomatchyourvehicle’scolor.
Takeyourcolorcode(printedonastickerinthedriver’sdoorjamb)to
yourauthorizeddealertoensureyougetthecorrectcolor.

Removeparticlessuchasbirddroppings,treesap,insectdeposits,tar
spots,roadsaltandindustrialfalloutbeforerepairingpaintchips.

Alwaysreadtheinstructionsbeforeusingtheproducts.
ALUMINUM WHEELS AND WHEEL  COVERS
Aluminumwheelsandwheelcoversarecoatedwithaclearcoatpaint
finish.Inordertomaintaintheirshine:

CleanweeklywithMotorcraft௡WheelandTireCleaner(ZC-37-A),
whichisavailablefromyourauthorizeddealer.Heavydirtandbrake
dustaccumulationmayrequireagitationwithasponge.Rinse
thoroughlywithastrongstreamofwater.

Neverapplyanycleaningchemicaltohotorwarmwheelrimsor
covers.
Someautomaticcarwashesmaycausedamagetothefinishonyour
wheelrimsorcovers.Chemical-strengthcleaners,orcleaning
chemicals,incombinationwithbrushagitationtoremovebrakedust
anddirt,couldwearawaytheclearcoatfinishovertime.

Donotusehydrofluoricacid-basedorhighcaustic-basedwheel
cleaners,steelwool,fuelsorstronghouseholddetergent.
