Fuel Economy
Fuel econom y is an estim ate of the efficiency of
you r vehicle and can be calcu lated as Miles Per
Gallon (MPG) or Liters Per 100 Kilom eters
(L/ 100K).
To calcu late fuel econom y:
1.
Fill the tank com pletely and record the
initial od om eter read ing.
2.
Every tim e you bu y fuel record the
am ount (in gallons or liters) purchased .
Keep a record for at least a month. This will
give you a more accu rate estim ate than
figu ring the fuel econom y based on only one
or tw o read ings.

After at least three to five tankfu ls, fill the
fuel tank and record the final od om eter
read ing.
