Clean ing  the  Outsid  e of  Your
Veh icle
Pollen,  bird   drop pings   and  tree   sap  can  dam age
the  paint,   esp ecially  in  hot  weather.   Wash   you r
vehicle  as  often   as  necessary   to  keep  it  clean.
Take  sim ilar  precau tions   if you r  vehicle  is
exp osed  to  chem ical  ind ustrial  fallou t.
Paint  dam  age  resu lting  from  fallou t  is  not
related   to  a  defect  in  paint   materials   or
workm anship   and   therefore   is  not  covered   by
warranty.    Ford , how ever,  believes   that   continu al
improvem  ent  in  custom  er satisfaction    is a  high
priority.   For  this  reason,   Ford   has  au thorized   its
dealers   to  rep air,  at  no  charge   to the   ow ner,  the
surfaces   of new   vehicles   dam aged  by
environm  ental  fallou t  within   12  months   or  12,000
miles  (20,000  km ) of  purchase,    whichever   comes
first.  Custom  ers  may  be  requ ired   to  bring  their
vehicle  in  for  insp ection   by  a  Ford
rep resentative.
Wash ing  and  Polish  ing  Your  Veh icle
Wash  the   outsid e  of you r  vehicle,   inclu ding  the
und ersid e,  with  a  cleaner   mad e  for  washing   cars.
If you r  vehicle   has  clear-coat,   make  sure   that  the
cleaner   is recom mend  ed  for  clear-coat.
DO  NOT:
Wash  you r  vehicle   with  hot  water
Wash  you r  vehicle   while  it  sits  in  direct
sunlight
Wash  you r  vehicle   while  the  bod y  is  hot
Polish  you r  vehicle   to rem ove  harm  ful  deposits
and  protect   the   finish.
