Safety Belt Warn ing Ligh t and Chime
This warning light and chim e rem ind you to
fasten you r safety belt. The follow ing cond itions
will take place:

If the driver’s safety belt is not bu ckled when
the key is tu rned to the ON position, the
light will activate for 1 to 2 minu tes and the
chim e will sou nd for 4 to 8 second s.
❑
If the driver’s safety belt is bu ckled while the
light is on or the chim e is sou nd ing, both the
light and the chim e will tu rn off.
❑
If the driver’s safety belt is bu ckled before the
key is tu rned to the ON position, the light
will briefly activate, then shu t off and the
chim e will not activate.

Brak e System Warn ing Ligh t
The warning light for the brakes can show tw o
things — that the parking brake is not fully
released , or that the brake fluid level is low in
the master cylind er reservoir. If the fluid level is
low , the brake system shou ld be checked by
you r dealer or a qu alified service technician.
