Built-In Child Seat (Wagon — If equipped)
The second row seat may inclu de an optional
bu ilt-in child safety seat on the passenger sid e.
The child restraint is to be used only by child ren
who are at least one year old , weigh betw een 9
and 27 kilogram s (20 and 60 pound s) and whose
shou lders (top ) are below the shou lder harness
slots in the seatback.
If you r child is less than one year old or weighs
less than 9 kilogram s (20 pound s), alw ays use a
rear facing infant or convertible seat becau se a
child of that size is not sufficiently develop ed to
withstand crash forces in a front facing position.
Follow the specific manu factu rer’s instru ctions
for weight and height restrictions.
Child ren must be prop erly bu ckled before rid ing
in the vehicle. It is the law in every state and
province. This child seat conform s to all
Federal/ Canad ian motor vehicle safety
stand ard s.
Built -in child sea t belt ret ra ctors
The belts on the bu ilt-in child seat are equ ipped
with a retractor that locks when both belt
tongu es are latched into the crotch safety belt
bu ckle.
The retractor will au tom atically snu g the belts
arou nd the child . Frequ ently check the child
seat’s lap and shou lder harness belts for correct
placem ent and tightness. Use the child seat only
if the harness belts will stay snu g with a child
bu ckled in the seat. If belts do not rem ain snu g,
take the vehicle to the dealer for child seat
rep air.
