Door Ajar Ligh t and Chime
This light comes on and a single chim e sou nd s if
one of the doors or the liftgate or liftgate
wind ow (wagon) is not completely shu t and the
ignition is in the ON position.

Chime for Head lam ps On
This chim e sou nd s if the driver or any passenger
door is open when the parking lam ps or
head lam ps are on. The chim e sou nd s until you
close the door, tu rn off the lam ps or tu rn the
ignition to the ON position.
A 3-second chim e sou nd s after a 20-second delay
if the ignition has been tu rned to the OFF
position, the parking lam ps or head lam ps are
on, and no door has been opened .
Air Bag Read iness Ligh t
A problem with the system is ind icated by one
or more of the follow ing: the read iness light will
either flash or stay lit, or it will not light, or a
grou p of five beep s will be heard .
RWARN ING
If any of these things happen, even
interm itten tly, have the air bag system
serviced at you r Ford or Lincoln -Mercu ry
dealer immediately.
