● Always connect positive (+) to
positive (+) and negative (−) to
bodyground.(forexampleengine
lift bracket, etc — not to the
battery).

Position the two vehicles to bring their
batteriesintocloseproximitytoeachother
iftheboosterbatteryisinanothervehicle.
Do not allow the two vehicles to
touch.
● Make sure that cables do not
touch any moving parts in the
engine compartment and that
clamps do not contact any other
metal.

Apply parking brakes. Move the selector
levertoP(Park).Switchoffallunneces-
sary electrical systems (light, heater, air
conditioner,etc.).
5. Starttheengineoftheothervehicleandlet
itrunforafewminutes.

Remove vent caps on the battery (if so
equipped). Cover the battery with an old
clothtoreduceexplosionhazard.
6. Keeptheenginespeedoftheothervehicle
atabout2,000rpm,andstartyourengine
inthenormalmanner.

Was looking for a way to disable the passenger airbag so I could have my dog beside me while traveling but it does not seem possible.
